The Telegraph reported the information.
The publication recalled a recent report by The Times, which stated that the UK would probably abandon the idea of sending troops due to “too high” risks.
Instead, it was noted that the country and its allies would focus on rearming Ukraine and providing it with air and naval support.
However, Environment Secretary Steve Reed said that “all options remain on the table.”
When asked whether the government was still considering sending British troops, Steve Reed told Sky News that discussions were ongoing, no decisions had been made yet, but all options remained on the table - whether land, air, or naval operations.
- In February, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said he was ready to deploy peacekeeping troops to Ukraine.
- The UK military leadership is planning to bolster Kyiv’s forces amid fears of a renewed Russian invasion. One option under consideration is deploying British troops to Ukraine for up to five years.
