The announced package includes:
- Approximately $116 million for strengthening Ukraine’s naval forces, including small boats, reconnaissance drones, unmanned surface vessels, drones for locating munitions, and mine-clearing drones.
- Around $85.5 million for air defense measures, including radars, ground-based decoy systems, and electronic warfare systems against unmanned aerial vehicles.
- Around $32.7 million for providing support and spare parts for previously delivered systems to Ukraine.
- About $49 million designated for over 1,000 electronic warfare systems for drones and a joint purchase of respirators and equipment to enhance the protective capabilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Britain also announced that it will offer more military training for Ukrainian personnel.
“The brave people of Ukraine continue to defy all expectations with their unbreakable spirit. But they cannot go it alone – which is why the UK will step up our international leadership on Ukraine throughout 2025,” said British Defense Secretary John Healey in his statement.
- On December 18, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer held a phone call with U.S. President-elect Donald Trump to discuss Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
