
Trump says U.S. will respond if Putin deceives in negotiations
President of the United States Donald Trump stated that he is unsure whether Russian leader Vladimir Putin wants to end the war, but if he is deceiving them, Washington will respond differently
He made this statement on air of Fox News.
Trump said that he is unsure whether Vladimir Putin wants to end the war, but they will find out if he is lying, and if so, Washington will respond a bit differently.
“I’ll let you know in about two weeks,” Trump said when questioned whether Putin wants to end the war.
“We’re going to find out whether or not he’s tapping us along or not, and if he is, we’ll respond a little bit differently,” Trump went on.
He also added that he is very disappointed with the Russian strikes on Ukraine and the killing of civilians during the negotiations.
"I can say that I’m very disappointed with what happened a few nights ago, when people were killed amid what you call negotiations. I’m very disappointed by this. Very, very disappointed,” emphasized the U.S. president.
- Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that the Russian delegation is ready to present its memorandum during the second round of negotiations with Ukraine, which they proposed to hold in Istanbul on June 2.
