The U.S. President told reporters he "may" call Putin to discuss ending Russia’s war against Ukraine, according to CNN.
"We have to meet. He and I will meet. I think we’ll solve it, or maybe not, but at least we’ll know. And if we don’t solve it, it will be very interesting," Trump said.
- Earlier, Trump said that there would be no changes in peace talks on Russia's war against Ukraine until he meets with Vladimir Putin.
- On May 15, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that the possible date of the meeting between the U.S. president and Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin would be discussed after Trump returns from abroad.
