Trump, Putin to mine bitcoin at Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant

Putin let slip something interesting. He says that he and Trump have agreed to jointly manage the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant, without Ukraine, and to mine there

That is, Trump and Putin want to create a RusAmBitcoinMiner, gain access to essentially free electricity in enormous volumes, and mine crypto for themselves. They're essentially creating their own private printing press.

"It's interesting, of course, how the bitcoin market will react to this. But even more interesting is how the FBI should react to this. Because it's unlikely that these bitcoins will somehow end up as U.S. state property."

In the U.S., there are basically only three state-owned companies, and a joint venture with Putin is unlikely to be the fourth. That is, some hypothetical Kushner with some hypothetical Witkoff will be "printing" bitcoins for themselves. And indeed, why does Witkoff listen so carefully to the Russians' opinion, and why does he so want to force Ukraine to capitulate.

Biden's son, who recently opened his mouth and spoke about Ukraine like a typical loser who blames everyone for his problems, is nervously smoking in the corner.

In principle, this is the dream of Ukrainian corrupt officials. Who usually did exactly that, connecting to free energy, but on a much smaller scale. And you say cheburek-cheburek... (a dismissive phrase mocking those who trivialize serious corruption by reducing it to stereotypical jokes about Russian/post-Soviet culture; cheburek is a fried meat pastry popular in the region - ed.).

It's interesting, of course, why Putin burned the operation...

Although one wants to believe that this is only a translation problem and what was meant was not crypto mining, but the extraction of some rare earth metals and their processing. Although here, of course, there will also be the question of whether the new joint venture plans to obtain metals on occupied Ukrainian territory...
