Trump irritated: Ukraine now has real funds
Trump's recent statements demonstrate his irritation that Ukraine is, in essence, imposing its game on the United States of America, and he cannot accept that
It is not so important what he said, but the implications of what he said and the context of what is happening are important. And the context is as follows: several important events have taken place over the past two weeks.
First. Ukraine has demonstrated Chinese citizens fighting on the side of Russia, who were also detained on the territory of Ukraine, in a very timely manner. In this way, Ukraine has clearly indicated its position as an ally of the United States in its confrontation with China.
Second. It has become clear that Russia and China are acting as a single bloc, which confirms the futility of the Trump administration's attempts to separate Russia from China.
Third. Zelenskyy's interview with CBS, in which two key points were made:
- Russia continues to deceive the United States, and the latter does not seem to notice;
- Ukraine is ready to buy American weapons - currently worth $15 billion.
This is an extremely important point, as the U.S. administration has been put in an awkward position. They can't refuse the sale because Ukraine is an ally and the war is already underway here. U.S. allies in Asia are also closely watching how Washington behaves. Moreover, a major contract could help restore the reputation of American weapons amid declining interest in them within the European Union.
“In this situation, the American military-industrial complex is acting as a lobbyist for Ukraine’s interests. Now try explaining to your voters that you torpedoed a $15 billion deal (and earlier it was even about $50 billion). This drastically changes the dynamics — including attitudes toward aid to Ukraine. Because when it’s about selling weapons rather than just “assistance,” it follows a completely different logic.”
Moreover, the story around the purchase of Patriot systems was played out very cleverly. For example, Sybiha stated that Ukraine is developing its own air defense system. This is a direct message to American manufacturers: either you sell to us now, or your scrap metal - incapable of doing the job - will soon be unwanted by anyone. Because Ukraine will find another way to spend those $15 billion, which most likely have already been greenlit by our allies.
Fourth. The agreement that Trump is trying to push through with threats, shouting and other methods of pressure will in fact be nullified. There is no need to sign anything. You produce weapons - we buy them. No one owes anyone anything. And this, of course, irritates Trump, especially with his inflated ego. Especially since they obviously realize the hopelessness of the situation with Russia.
All these stories that Vitkoff tells are no longer worth taking seriously. There is failure after failure. There is no “deal” and there will never be one. I think that Trump will soon lose Witkoff, as well as Musk. That is, he will “write them off” himself, because the deafness and futility of the paths they propose is becoming obvious.
So, the key shift is the emergence of real funding, which fundamentally changes the situation and Trump’s strategy. All his flirtations with Russia are already leading to tangible economic losses for the U.S. And it’s not just about weapons. Europeans are now asking: why do we need American companies if there’s no security guarantee behind them?
“Then the world will ask: why do we need the dollar if there is no defense behind it? The US is already losing money right now.”
The current administration will have no choice but to return to the Euro-Atlantic family, to finish off Russia, because they simply will have no other way. Russia cannot be saved, no matter how hard they try.
That's why we need to act, not scold Trump on social media. He is who he is. And there will be another 4 years, no matter what fairy tales we tell about “impeachment.”
As Churchill once said: “The Americans always find the right solution when everyone else has tried it.”
