Threat of breakthrough repelled in Kharkiv direction, stable defense ensured – General Staff

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported the information.

During the past day, 141 combat clashes took place.

Russia’s attacks on Ukraine

According to detailed information, on May 25, Russia launched 10 missile strikes with 13 missiles, 40 airstrikes (including 56 guided aerial bombs), and 1,001 kamikaze drone strikes (994 of which were FPV) on Ukraine's troop positions and populated areas. Russian forces also fired 3,604 shots from various weapons, including 96 from MLRS. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in civilian casualties.

Since the beginning of today, 35 combat clashes have occurred at the front. Russian forces carried out 529 attacks on Ukrainian positions and settlements. They also launched three airstrikes using guided bombs.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv direction, Ukrainian forces repelled Russian breakthrough attempts and established a stable defense. The Russian army suffers heavy losses in its attacks. Ukrainian artillery and infantry units are working together effectively. The Russian forces attempted to storm Ukrainian positions three times. Ukrainian forces repelled two attacks near Lyptsi and Ternova, while fighting continues around Lukyantsi. Ukrainian units are reinforcing defensive positions.

Yesterday, Russia lost 179 soldiers in the Kharkiv direction. Ukrainian units also destroyed a tank, an armored vehicle, three artillery systems, and six vehicles.

There have been six clashes in the Kupyansk direction today. Ukrainian forces repelled one attack, and fighting continues near Synkivka, Novoyehorivka, Hrekivka, Nevske, and Druzhelyubivka. The situation remains under control.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian soldiers stopped Russia's advance toward Nevske. Russian losses are being detailed.

No active operations occurred in the Kramatorsk direction.

In the Pokrovsk direction, hostilities are intense. Russia has attacked Ukrainian positions 14 times, with six repelled and eight ongoing clashes near Novooleksandrivka, Kalynove, Sokil, and Nevelske. Ukrainian Defense Forces are preventing Russian troops' advance.

In the Kurakhove direction, Ukrainian forces repelled an attack near Kostyantynivka. The Russian army is still on the offensive in the Krasnohorivka region, but the situation is under control.

In the Vremivka direction, Russian forces failed in two attempts to improve their tactical position near Rozdilne and Staromayorske.

In the Orikhiv direction, the battle continues near Mala Tokmachka.

In the Kherson direction, two Russian attacks near Krynky on the left bank of the Dnipro River were repelled, preventing any loss of positions.

In other directions, the situation remains stable. The Ukrainian Defense Forces are taking all necessary measures to deter Russia's offensive and stabilize the situation.
