SBU destroys radar monitoring sky over Ukraine with drones in Russia - media

Ukraine’s Security Service hit the Russian Nebo-U radar station in the Bryansk region of Russia. This station controlled the sky 700 kilometers deep into Ukraine

Hromadske reports about this, citing a law enforcement source, according to Sprotyv.

This is a modernized Nebo-U complex that helped Russian troops detect Ukrainian means of destruction and supported bombers attacking the Ukrainian border with missiles.

This radar station costs USD 100 million. 7 airplane-type kamikaze drones hit it. As noted, due to the attack, the Nebo-U radar no longer works and "probably turned into a colander."

"Thanks to the damage to this radar, the enemy has fewer opportunities to detect air targets along Ukraine's northern border. The radar blindness of the Russians will help our troops to conduct reconnaissance, launch drones and use army aviation in this area more efficiently," the source explained.

This is the second Nebo-U system destroyed by the SBU's 13th Main Directorate of the military counterintelligence department. The first radar was destroyed in the Belgorod region of Russia.
