Russia shells village in Kharkiv region, killing 11-year-old boy and father
On Tuesday evening, April 2, Russian forces targeted Novoosynove village in the Kupyansk district of the Kharkiv region, resulting in the deaths of a father and his young son

The head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, Oleh Syniehubov, and the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office confirmed this report.
Russian forces initiated the attack on the settlement around 5:15 p.m.
During the artillery strike, the 58-year-old man was killed instantly, while his 11-year-old son sustained injuries. The child was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Subsequent reports revealed that the child succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
The victims were in their own yard when the shelling occurred.
- Earlier on April 1, Russian troops launched an attack on the city of Vovchansk in the Kharkiv region, resulting in injuries to a local resident due to enemy shelling.
