On April 14, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk, Commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, said that a day earlier in the temporarily occupied Luhansk, Ukrainian aviation had successfully struck a command post of the Russian “Center" military grouping.

"Having maintained a pause, I would like to thank the pilots of the Air Force for a successful, and most importantly, effective strike on an enemy facility in the Luhansk region on April 13, 2024. The Ukrainian pilots did an excellent job and returned to base," he wrote.

According to him, there will be more such strikes on Russia’s rear when Ukraine receives more missiles from its Western partners.
Yesterday, the Russian propaganda news agency TASS reported , citing Russian Foreign Ministry Ambassador-at-Large Rodion Miroshnik, that the Ukrainian Armed Forces may have launched a missile attack on the bus station area in Luhansk.

Later, TASS reported an alleged missile strike on the outskirts of Luhansk by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and several explosions were heard. Citing Russian security forces, it said the strike was probably launched by two Storm Shadow missiles.

The head of the so-called LPR Leonid Pasichnyk says that the attack was on a machine-building plant in Luhansk that was preparing to start operations. It is also noted that there are allegedly victims.

Denys Kazansky, a journalist and blogger from Donetsk region, said that the attack was probably aimed at the location of the Russian military. He posted a video of the impact site, where smoke is rising. According to him, the consequences resemble an attack by a guided aerial bomb.

"A fire has started at the place of impact," he wrote.

Blogger Serhiy Sternenko and local publications also confirm the information about the incident and share photos and videos from the impact site. The advisor to the mayor of Mariupol, Petro Andriushchenko, said that there was a powerful fire at the site of the hit in Luhansk: "They hit hard".
