Russia makes significant gains in Kurakhove: DeepState reports
Russian forces continue their assault on Kurakhove from multiple directions, making notable advances within the city
This update comes from the OSINT platform DeepState.
Russian troops are increasing their pressure in the northern part of Kurakhove, advancing along the Kurakhove reservoir toward Stari Terny. Infantry units have been observed near the outskirts of the village. Analysts report that Berestky is now fully under Russian control.
“It’s deeply concerning that false reports about holding positions in this area are still being sent 'up the chain.' Heavy fighting persists in Sontsivka, with constant breakthroughs by Russian forces. However, these advances are limited to one direction, thanks to the effective defense efforts in the village,” DeepState writes.
In Kurakhove itself, Russian forces have made substantial progress. They are pushing eastward, attempting to secure positions near the high-rise buildings on Pobiedy Street and Prokofieva Avenue, in the city center.
“The infantry is gradually infiltrating city blocks and expanding their control. However, they face a significant challenge with the industrial zone, which they’ve begun to destroy. If they break through from Stari Terny, defending the industrial area will become far more difficult as the enemy could approach from both sides, cutting off logistics,” the report warns.
Fierce clashes are ongoing along the Elyzavetivka–Romanivka–Hannivka–Uspenivka line. Russian troops are intensifying their assault on Uspenivka from the Trudove direction, aiming to achieve their primary objective of closing the "pocket." Meanwhile, attacks from Dalnie show no signs of slowing.
“The Russians are exploiting every opportunity to strengthen their tactical position on Kurakhove’s southern flank, particularly along the Yasna Polyana–Maksymivka section, advancing toward the H15 highway,” DeepState adds.
- On Friday, November 29, reports confirmed that Russian forces achieved gains south of Kurakhove in the Donetsk region, where Ukrainian troops now face the risk of encirclement.
