Ukrainian air force shoots down Russian missile over Dnipropetrovsk region

At around 11:00 a.m. the Ukrainian Air Force's Telegram channel reported a Kh-59 cruise missile was launched at Dnipro city.

Later, Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration head reported that the missile was shot down in the sky over the region.

"Russian terrorists are not resting. They launched a missile at the Dnipro district. But it was destroyed by fighters from the East Air Command," he wrote.

For reference: the Kh-59 air-to-surface missile with a range of up to 280 km is one of the missiles most often used by the Russian Aerospace Forces to fire at military and civilian targets in Ukraine. Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions suffer the most from the weapon's use.
