Russians increase artillery and mortar attacks: Officer Kalashnikov on Chasiv Yar situation

"The Russians were unable to cross the canal. They are trying, but we are stopping them. If the enemy breaks through, they are destroyed. It should be noted that the Russians have intensified their assaults with mechanized components. If the Russians used to save equipment, today they are trying with small armored units and infantry to break through our defense somewhere. That means tanks and armored fighting vehicles are used," Kalashnikov noted.
According to him, the enemy increased artillery and mortar attacks near Chasiv Yar.
"On the Chasiv Yar part of the front, the intensity of shelling by the Russians has increased," Kalashnikov added.
- During the past day, the Russian army lost 1,300 soldiers. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have eliminated more than 505,000 Russians.
