Russians donated money to purchase drones for Ukraine's intelligence during presidential election
Russians demonstrated the highest level of activity in an international charity fundraiser aimed at purchasing Sich reconnaissance drones for units of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine
The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine reported the information.
"In the course of the international charity fundraiser for the purchase of Sich strike and reconnaissance drones for the units of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, Russian citizens were the most active," the statement said.
It noted that over the four days of fundraising, almost 3,000 people joined the volunteer campaign, 1,538 of whom were Russians who scanned the qr-code from TV screens and gadgets. In particular, 200 Moscow residents donated money for drones for Ukrainian intelligence.
"It is symbolic that the peak of donations for drones for Ukrainian intelligence from citizens of the aggressor state coincided with the so-called ‘Putin's elections.’ Instead of participating in the Kremlin's farce, conscious Russians decided to vote with dollars and euros for the sake of the freedom of their state," the Defense Intelligence added.
The report also highlighted the fact that members of the international fundraising campaign for the Sich UAV included Ukrainians who are currently living abroad, citizens of Poland, Latvia, Germany, Moldova and other countries.
