Russian troops preparing new assaults amidst intense Pokrovsk fighting — general

Retired Lieutenant General Ihor Romanenko, founder of the Charitable Foundation Close the Sky of Ukraine, stated this on Espreso TV.

"Our line stretches along Pokrovsk - Myrnohrad - Kostiantynivka - Druzhkivka - Sloviansk - Kramatorsk. The most intense battles are currently taking place around the Pokrovsk - Myrnohrad agglomeration, but the enemy is gradually preparing further operations. This primarily concerns Kostiantynivka, because Druzhkivka is located in a lowland, and Kostiantynivka plays a more important role in the defense system," Romanenko noted.

According to the retired lieutenant general, the Russian forces are currently organizing actions directly on Sloviansk and Kramatorsk from the northeast direction.

"There is an enemy advance in the Lyman area. In fact, they are encircling Yampil around Lyman. If you look at the map in the direction of Lyman - Siversk, this is the western direction - the direction of actions on Kramatorsk and Sloviansk.

Unfortunately, such events on the fronts will continue until the appropriate potential of the Ukrainian Defense Forces is ensured," Romanenko emphasized.
