Russian troops plan offensive in Pokrovsk and Kurakhove areas

According to reports, the Russian troop group known as "Center" is active in two directions: Toretsk and Pokrovsk. These areas are currently seeing the most intense enemy activity

The Information Resistance Group writes about it.

The "Center" group consists of troops from the 2nd and 41st Combined Armies, the 1st Army Corps, the 8th Combined Army, and the 90th Tank Division. In the Toretsk direction, it's mainly the 1st Army Corps, while in Pokrovsk, the main forces of the "Center" are deployed.

Overall, this comprises:

It is stated that currently, the "Center" command is focused on the Pokrovsk direction, but they could shift some troops northward to Toretsk if needed.

However, any move towards Toretsk would depend on the enemy's ability to create conditions for a breakthrough west of the Siverskyi Donets - Donbas, particularly around Kurdyumivka.

At present, the enemy's forces in this area, part of the “South” group, aren't sufficient for a breakthrough.

An attack on Toretsk from the south and southeast alone, without support from the north (like from the Ozaryanivka area), is unlikely to yield significant results for the enemy.

“Therefore, it's expected that in the coming days, Russian forces will focus on launching offensives in Pokrovsk and Kurakhove with both the "Center" and "South" groups,” the statement says.
