Russian troops launch 131 attacks at front, focusing on Pokrovsk, Vremivka sectors

Russian forces have intensified attacks on the Pokrovsk and Vremivka sectors. A total of 131 clashes have been reported since the start of December 13

Frontline situation

Today, in the Kharkiv sector, Russian forces attempted an offensive near Vovchansk, and fighting is still ongoing. Their aircraft attacked Hraniv and Vovchanski Khutory with guided aerial bombs.

In the Kupyansk sector, Russia launched 6 attacks, but Ukrainian forces successfully repelled all assaults near Kolisnykivka, Bohuslavka, and Lozova.

In the Lyman sector, Russian troops continue to attack near Hrekivka, Nadiia, Zelenyi Hai, Shyikivka, Makiivka, Terny, Zarichne, Torske, Dibrova, and Hryhorivka. Since morning, Ukrainian forces have repelled 10 out of 19 Russian attacks in this area. The fighting continues. The Russian army also shelled Serhiivka with unguided aerial missiles.

In the Siversk sector, Ukrainian forces repelled an attack near Bilohorivka, while the Russian army dropped a guided aerial bomb on Siversk.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian forces attacked 5 times near Chasiv Yar.

In the Toretsk sector, there have been 7 attacks so far, mainly around Toretsk and Dyliivka. Ukrainian defenders are pushing back strongly, with 2 attacks stopped and 5 ongoing firefights.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian forces launched 32 attacks on Ukrainian positions today in areas like Myroliubivka, Lysivka, Promin, Dachenske, Shevchenko, Novyi Trud, Zelene, Pishchane, and Pushkine. Ukrainian defenders repelled 23 attacks, and 9 clashes are still ongoing.

In the Kurakhove sector, there were 18 combat engagements, with the Russian army focusing its efforts on Stari Terny, Sontsivka, Zoria, Kurakhove, Dalne, Dachne, Hannivka, and Uspenivka. Seven firefights are still in progress.

In the Vremivka sector, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions 29 times near Trudove, Veselyi Hai, Kostiantynopilske, Sukhi Yaly, Blahodatne, Storozheve, Neskuchne, Makarivka, and Novodarivka. Ten clashes are ongoing.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, Russian troops made an unsuccessful attempt to attack Ukrainian positions.

In the Kursk region, Ukrainian forces repelled 9 Russian attacks today, with 5 more clashes still ongoing.

No major changes have been reported in other sectors.

"Russian artillery continues to shell border areas in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions, hitting settlements like Khrinivka, Tymonovychi, Nova Huta, Velyka Pysarivka, and Vyntorivka. The Russian army also launched air strikes with attack helicopters on Turia and Mala Rybytsia," the General Staff reported.

  • Over the past day, the invading Russian army lost 1,390 troops in the war in Ukraine. The Defense Forces destroyed Russian equipment, including 5 tanks and 31 armored vehicles.
