Russian troops drop bombs on residential area in occupied Rubizhne
The Russian invaders attacked the surviving high-rise buildings of the temporarily occupied Rubizhne, Luhansk region, from the air. Due to the witnesses and numerous victims, the invaders failed to conceal the incident
The head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration Artem Lysohor reported that Russian forces hit a residential area of Rubizhne, which is one of the few survivors of the Russian army's assaults in the spring of 2022, with a FAB-250 bomb. Now these buildings have also been destroyed.
"Usually, Russia refers to shelling by Ukrainian troops during such 'extraordinary' events. This time, numerous witnesses who saw both the Russian fighter jet and the munition itself prevented them from doing so,” said Lysohor.
According to him, the injured are being hospitalized, the less seriously injured are being transported to a temporary accommodation center. The search for the missing continues.
"People have been left without housing, which no one will restore - the citizens have become accustomed to this for almost two years. Russian occupation authorities say they are in control of the situation," added Lysohor.
At the same time, the head of the so-called LPR Leonid Pasichnyk called the incident "an abnormal landing of an aircraft munition".
According to him, none of the residents were injured.
"Residents of the nearest houses were promptly evacuated. Everyone was offered accommodation in a temporary accommodation center. Five people, including two children, are currently staying there. The rest of them decided to stay with relatives and friends," Pasichnyk wrote on Telegram and added that "experts are deciding on the disposal of the munition."
