Explosions rock Kharkiv, injuring civilians, damaging homes and factory
Kharkiv Regional Council deputy Oleksandr Skoryk shared details of the night attack on Kharkiv on Espreso TV.
According to him, one of the ballistic missiles struck Kharkiv Highway, formerly known as Bilhorod Highway. As a result, the road is now blocked, and movement from the city center to the ring road is impossible.
"We also know about damage to a civilian enterprise in the city's Kholodnohirskyi district. Three Shaheds flew in before the Iskander strike. It was powerful — we heard them taking up their strike positions. Around 20 private homes and a civilian facility were damaged," he added.
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov showed the aftermath of the ballistic missile strike on the city.
“Two ballistic missiles hit a residential area of Kharkiv early this morning. One landed near a high-rise. The other struck the road just a few dozen meters from a school. Standing by this crater, you realize how much worse it could have been. A few more meters, and the missile would have hit a building. A few more minutes, and there would have been cars and buses on the road. It’s a real miracle there were no casualties. Utility services are already working, and we will definitely restore the road. But the most important thing is that our people are alive,” he wrote, showing the missile crater (in the featured photo).
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov wrote about the first explosion in Kharkiv at 04:09 a.m. In the following minutes, two more explosions were heard. Terekhov noted there was information about a strike in the city’s Kholodnohirskyi district, where a fire broke out.

At 04:19 a.m., he wrote about drone strikes in the Kholodnohirskyi district of Kharkiv. According to Syniehubov, by 04:50 a.m., a civilian enterprise was hit, and a warehouse building was damaged.
