Russian soldiers drown attempting to land on Dnipro islands — Atesh guerillas
Russian soldiers attempting to land on islands in the Kherson region drowned after being struck by a drone, causing them to lose control
The Atesh guerrilla movement reported the information.
An Atesh agent with the 61st Separate Marine Brigade of the Russian Northern Fleet reported that soldiers from his unit recently drowned while attempting to land on Bilohrudyi Island in the Dnipro Delta. During the operation, a UAV struck two soldiers, causing them to lose control and fall off their jet ski.
“Such incidents are not uncommon in the Russian military,” the post states. “The primary reasons are inadequate or nonexistent training and the challenging terrain conditions, which the soldiers are simply unable to handle.”
He also noted that Russian soldiers are demoralized and are often sent to the islands as a form of punishment. Incidents like these only serve to further erode their morale.
