Andriy Kovalenko, head of the National Security and Defense Council's Center for Countering Disinformation, reported the information.
He noted that Russian troops are trying to actively entrentch in the territory bordering Vovchansk.
"As for the Sumy region, the Russian information operation with Ryzhivka was a complete failure. They didn't even try to continue to push the topic of an offensive in the Sumy region, because their fake was exposed too quickly," Kovalenko said.
Instead, the Russian plans for the north were thwarted, but they are bringing new reserves there because of the significant losses. In addition, according to Kovalenko, the permission to use Western weapons against military targets has significantly changed the situation.
- Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov said that the frontline is going through a difficult period, but there will be no "armageddon."
