Russian puppet leader blown up in Luhansk region

On April 1, a car carrying a representative of the occupation administration of the so-called 'Luhansk People's Republic', collaborator Valeriy Chaika, was blown up in occupied Starobilsk, Luhansk region. He died on the spot

This was reported by Russian media and the occupation head of Starobilsk, Vladimir Chernev.

The Russians say that at 1:30 p.m., a car bomb was detonated near the Starobilsk Faculty of Luhansk State Pedagogical University.

According to the Russian media, the occupation deputy head of the so-called "LPR Center for the Service of Educational Organisations", Valeriy Chaika, was killed.

Serhiy Bratchuk, a spokesman for the Ukrainian Volunteer Army South, said that in 2022, Chaika sided with the occupiers and was appointed 'advisor to the head of the administration of the Starobilsk district of the so-called 'LPR''. He took an active part in the creation of new occupation bodies. 

In 2023, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) served Chaika with a notice of suspicion for collaboration. The indictment was later sent to court.
