On June 27, Russian forces took 56-year-old Zhanna Kyseliova from her apartment.
Currently, the woman's whereabouts are unknown.
For many years, Zhanna Kyseliova headed the Kakhovska Zoria newspaper in the district and fought for its denationalization. In 2020, she was elected to the Kakhovka City Council.
Since the beginning of the Russian occupation of the city in February 2022, the journalist has been in her hometown and remained there even after the first release, after being in Russian captivity for almost a month.
- In September 2022, Zhanna Kyseliova from Kakhovka was kidnapped, but she was released in October.
