Russian guided bomb attack on Kharkiv region kills at least 2 people
On the afternoon of August 15, the occupying Russian army launched an attack on the Bohodukhiv and Kupyansk districts of the Kharkiv region using guided aerial bombs
On August 15, Oleh Syniehubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported that the Kupyansk district was bombarded by Russian forces.
Around 15:30, guided aerial bombs hit a civilian enterprise in the Kupyansk district. Two civilians were killed, and preliminary reports indicate that another employee of the enterprise was injured. Emergency services are currently on-site responding to the attack.
According to the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, at 12:30, two guided aerial bombs hit the center of Zolochiv village in Bohodukhiv district.
The attack injured three women (ages 43, 57, and 65), two men (ages 35 and 50), and a 12-year-old boy. The bombing caused extensive damage, destroying or damaging dozens of private houses, outbuildings, two cars, and power and gas networks. Additionally, a kindergarten, an administrative service center, a music school, and a local newspaper office were also affected.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed that two guided aerial bombs were used. They also reported that the injured teenager’s hospitalization is being arranged.
