Russian forces try to enter Myrnohrad, Ukrainian army holds ground — local official

Yurii Tretyak, head of the Myrnohrad City Military Administration, shared the information on Espreso TV.

“In Myrnohrad, constant shelling continues, mostly artillery strikes and attacks by FPV drones. The Russians try to infiltrate the city with armored vehicles or in small groups, but the Defense Forces are holding them back and preventing them from gaining a foothold. Sometimes the frontline runs along the city’s edge,” Tretyak noted.

He added that civilians still remain in the city, but their exact number is currently unknown.

“I believe at least 1,500 people are still in the city. The situation is very difficult. For a year now, there has been no electricity, water, gas, or heating. People are fetching water from wells. Delivering humanitarian aid is impossible. All equipment entering the city is targeted by Russian drones,” Tretyak emphasized.

• The most difficult situation is currently in the Pokrovsk direction, where Russian troops are trying to establish a foothold by all means. The situation is also challenging in Kupiansk, where the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold their positions.
