Russian forces ramp up activity in Pokrovsk, Kursk sectors: frontline update

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff stated this in its report as of 4:00 p.m.

Eight settlements were hit by Russian artillery during the day.

In addition, Russian airstrikes targeted five settlements in the Sumy region.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv sector, the Russians attacked Ukrainian positions once near Vovchansk, with the battle still ongoing.

In the Kupiansk sector, Russian invaders attempted to advance towards Ukrainian positions near Zahryzove during the day. Ukrainian forces successfully repelled the attack.

In the Lyman sector, 13 clashes took place near Nadiya, Dibrova, Kolodiazi, Torske, and in the direction of Nove, Novomykhailivka. Five battles are still ongoing.

In the Siversk sector, Ukrainian defenders are repelling a Russian attack near Bilohorivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian forces did not conduct any offensive actions.

In the Toretsk sector, Russian troops attacked 13 times near Dyliivka and Toretsk. Four clashes are ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian troops attempted to advance 18 times during the day near Panteleimonivka, Kalynove, Vodiane Druhe, Yelyzavetivka, Novoukrainka, Kotlyne, Uspenivka, Kotlyarivka, Andriivka, Novoandriivka, and in the direction of Pokrovsk. Four battles are ongoing. The Russians also carried out airstrikes on Pokrovsk, Serhiyivka, and Yelyzavetivka.

In the Novopavlivka sector, Russian invaders attacked six times near Kostiantynopil. All attacks were repelled.

In the Huliaipole sector, Russian forces did not conduct any offensive actions but carried out airstrikes on the settlements of Novodarivka, Malynivka, and Zaliznychne.

In the Orikhiv sector, the Russians launched one unsuccessful attack on Shcherbaky.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, the Russian army carried out an airstrike near Olhivka but did not conduct any offensive actions.

In the Kursk region, Ukrainian defenders are repelling two Russian attacks. A total of 16 combat engagements have been recorded. The Russians carried out 11 airstrikes, dropping 16 guided bombs on populated areas and Ukrainian positions. In addition, Russian forces fired 183 times, including six times from multiple launch rocket systems.

• On March 21, 142 combat engagements were recorded on the Russian-Ukrainian front. In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 37 Russian assaults.
