Russian forces attempt multi-directional assault on Huliaipole — local official

Serhii Yarmak, head of the Huliaipole City Military Administration, stated this on Espreso TV.

"The military situation is difficult and tense. Russian forces in small groups are trying to enter the town's territory from all directions. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are destroying them as much as possible on the approaches and in the town itself, so the situation right now is critical and difficult. Street fighting is taking place throughout the town, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine are pushing them back as much as possible," Yarmak emphasized.

The head of the Huliaipole City Military Administration added that the peak of evacuation has already passed, but local residents still occasionally request evacuation.

"To carry out evacuations now, residents need to come out to a specific point, where together with police representatives or the State Emergency Service, we attempt to evacuate them to safer towns, specifically to the city of Zaporizhzhia," Yarmak noted.

• On January 19, 165 combat clashes were recorded on the Russian-Ukrainian front, with Russian forces carrying out 44 attacks in the Pokrovsk direction.
