Russian drones hit civilian car, UN trucks in Kherson region

On the morning of October 14, Russian forces struck two UN trucks and a civilian car with drones in southern Ukraine’s Kherson region, injuring several people

The regional prosecutor’s office reported the information.

According to the statement, the attack caused a fire after a direct hit on two UN vehicles carrying humanitarian aid between settlements in the Kherson region. Preliminary information indicated there were no fatalities.

“Prosecutors, together with police investigators, are conducting urgent investigative actions to document another war crime by the Russian armed forces,” the prosecutor’s office said.

The office added that around 9:30 a.m. the same day, Russian troops dropped an explosive device from a drone onto a taxi in the city of Kherson.

As a result of the explosion, two civilians — a 67-year-old man and a 73-year-old woman who were in the car — sustained injuries of varying severity.

Under the procedural guidance of the Kherson Region Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the commission of a war crime (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

  • On the evening of Monday, October 13, the occupying Russian army attacked Ukraine with strike drones and guided bombs. A medical facility in Kharkiv was hit, and there are wounded.
