Sumy Regional State Administration reports.

“Yesterday, on November 18, late in the evening, the Russians attacked one of the dormitories in Hlukhiv, sending two Shahed-type attack UAVs at civilians,” the statement said.

According to the regional prosecutor's office, a dormitory of an educational institution in Hlukhiv came under attack by Russian drones last night.

As of the morning of November 19, 6 people were killed, including an 8-year-old boy. In addition, 12 people were injured in the attack, including two children.

The Regional Military Administration added that emergency rescue operations are currently underway. There may still be residents under the rubble.

According to Andriana Kostenko, a board member of the NGO Intellect of Sumy Region, who spoke on Espreso, explosions occurred around 11 p.m. in the city of Hlukhiv. Referring to media reports, she added that a mother and a child were among the dead.

“As we can see, it has already become a habit for the Russians to shell the private sector and densely populated residential areas. This is another attack on a multi-storey building,” emphasized Kostenko.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacted to another Russian shelling of civilian infrastructure. According to him, the death toll in Hlukhiv has increased to seven.

“Russia continues to terrorize our border. Last night there was a drone strike on Hlukhiv. A dormitory of one of the educational institutions was destroyed. At this time, it is known that seven people, including a child, were killed in this attack,” the President said.

Around 11:00, the State Emergency Service reported that the death toll had risen to ten, including one child. Another 13 people were injured, including three children. Three more residents may be under the rubble.

  • On the evening of Monday, November 18, the Russian army launched Shahed attack UAVs into Ukraine. In Zaporizhzhia, the explosions caused injuries, and air defense was deployed in the Kyiv region.
