Details were provided by the Russian Ministry of Defense press service.

“The tasks of the 'special military operation' will continue with offensive actions. Today, we will clarify the tasks for the military groupings in the autumn period,” said Gerasimov in a video released by the Ministry.

The main achievements of the Russian occupiers in Ukraine during the spring-summer of 2025, according to Gerasimov, were:

  • "Advancement in the Dnipropetrovsk region, where seven settlements were brought under control";
  • Movement in the Serebriansky Forestry;
  • Capture of Chasiv Yar (denied by the Ukrainian Defense Forces);
  • Fighting within the Siversk area;
  • Allegedly, a near-complete blockade of the town of Kupiansk and control over "about half of its territory" (DeepState interactive map shows only the northwestern part of Kupiansk in the "gray zone").

However, it should be noted that the Russian troops have not yet been able to capture large industrial agglomerations in Western Donetsk and have even found themselves encircled near Dobropillia.
