Petro Andriushchenko, an adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, reported the information.
"Last week, representatives of Atomredmetzoloto (ARMZ, the mining division of Rosatom State Corporation) approved permitting documents for lithium extraction In Donetsk with the so-called DPR Cabinet of Ministers. Now, based on these documents, they are applying for the corresponding license from the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources," the statement says.
The Shevchenkivske lithium deposit is located on the territory controlled by Ukraine in the Donetsk region, a few kilometers from Kurakhove in the direction of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
- Capturing Vuhledar is crucial for the occupying Russian army, given its elevated position that enables effective observation. A large amount of equipment has been transferred there, according to Oleksiy Hetman, Major of the National Guard of Ukraine, and the Russian-Ukrainian war veteran.
