At 1:42 a.m., Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported that a civilian infrastructure facility had been hit in a dense residential area:
"Fortunately, there were no casualties. The facility itself was partially damaged, as well as nearby residential buildings. All relevant services are working at the scene."
At 4:36 a.m. he clarified that there was a hit of a Shahed drone:
"It fell in the center of the city in the area of private houses. Fortunately, there were no casualties."
At 5:10 a.m., the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, said that "the occupiers are striking at Kharkiv." Terekhov also wrote that "an explosion was heard in the city".
"The occupiers struck Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv with an S-300 missile. At the moment, there are no casualties. There is damage to non-residential civilian premises. Inspection of the site by specialized services is ongoing," Syniehubov added later.
Instead, Mayor Terekhov said that the second hit occurred in the forest belt of Kharkiv near non-residential buildings: "Preliminary - S-300. Fortunately, there were no casualties. Several buildings were slightly damaged."
"The enemy attacked the civilian infrastructure of four cities in the Sumy region with Shahed drones: Sumy, Shostka, Trostianets and Bilopillia. They also launched rocket attacks on Shostka and Trostianets," the Sumy Regional Military Administration said.
Emergency services are working at the sites of the attacks. The consequences of the strikes are being clarified.
Later, the Sumy Regional Military Administration said that the Russians had launched missile and air strikes on radio facilities in the region. As a result, Sumy, Shostka, Bilopillia, and Trostianets temporarily lost access to Ukrainian television and radio signals. There may also be problems with mobile communications.
