Russia targets Ukraine's Chasiv Yar with cannon artillery, leaving one dead, three wounded
On September 26, the occupying Russian army shelled Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region, killing a civilian and injuring three others
This was reported by the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.
"On September 26, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation used cannon artillery to strike Chasiv Yar, once again targeting a residential area," the statement said.
The prosecutor's office said a 48-year-old man was killed in the attack on the residential area.
"In addition, three people were injured: a 33-year-old woman and two men, aged 26 and 65. They suffered mine-blast injuries, shrapnel wounds, and barotrauma. All were taken to the hospital," the press service added.
It was reported that all the victims were in a residential yard when the strike happened.
Legal proceedings have been initiated for violations of the laws and customs of war (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
- According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, about 460 residents still live in Chasiv Yar. At the same time, the entire territory of the community is under enemy fire control and is being shelled with mortars.
