Press service of DTEK, a Ukrainian energy company, reported the information.
"At night, the enemy launched a massive attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure. DTEK thermal power plants were attacked," the statement said.
"The equipment of the plants was seriously damaged. After the attack ended, employees of the enterprises promptly began to eliminate the consequences and restore the equipment," the company added.
Later, they clarified that two power engineers were injured in the attack.
"Two power engineers were injured during the attack on a thermal power plant. They are in the hospital where they are being provided with all the necessary assistance," DTEK informed.
- On the night of March 22, the Russian army attacked Ukraine with 151 air strikes. Ukrainian air defense destroyed 92 enemy targets.
- On March 22, Russia launched an attack on Ukraine's largest hydroelectric power plant, the Dnipro Hydroelectric Station. Russian propaganda TV channels subsequently started disseminating false information regarding the alleged destruction of the dam.
