Russia shells more than 10 settlements in Kherson region, there are casualties - Ukrainian official
Yuriy Sobolevsky, First Deputy Chairman of the Kherson Regional Council, noted that at least 2 people were killed and one was injured as a result of shelling of Kherson region settlements on March 8
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
"Unfortunately, the shelling continued today. There were attacks in more than 10 settlements of Kherson region. As of this hour, 2 people have been killed and one wounded. Russia continues its terror tactics, striking at Kherson, mostly shelling residential areas, with many hits to multi-storey and private houses. We also have regular attacks on humanitarian targets, including museums, the theatre building, where there was another attack, and infrastructure," said the first deputy head of the Kherson regional council.
Yuriy Sobolevsky added that the shelling damages infrastructure in some parts of the city, depriving people of utilities, but utilities and energy company employees quickly try to repair the damaged facilities to maintain the communities' vital functions.
- Earlier, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, said that the Russian forces had targeted Stanislav in the Kherson region, killing a man.
- The Ukrainian National Police also reported that two policemen were injured by a Russian UAV in the Kherson region
