Two people are killed in Bilopillia as a result of shelling

"For two hours, the Russian army shelled civilian infrastructure in Bilopillia, Sumy district, with artillery. The attack killed two women, aged 77 and 69. Three women were wounded. A multi-storey building and private houses were damaged," the Interior Ministry said.

Earlier, one casualty and four wounded were reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

"Today, on April 26, Russia carried out an artillery attack on the town of Bilopillia, Sumy region. Five explosions were recorded. Preliminarily, one woman was killed and four people were wounded in the shelling. We express our condolences to the family and friends of the deceased. The shelling also damaged the premises of a medical facility, multi-storey and private houses, a shopping centre, a bank building, garages, cars, and a tractor," the statement says.

Journalist Alyona Yatsyna told the details of the shelling on Espreso.

"The Russians dropped two guided bombs on Sumy. In particular, on the territory of the industrial zone, on one of the factories. A fire is currently raging there, and rescuers are working to extinguish it. There is no information about the victims. However, there is information that people were still in the areas where the shells hit," she said.

According to the journalist, at least 2 women were killed and 4 more people were wounded in the shelling of Bilopillia. Many houses were destroyed.
