Russia ramps up offensive capabilities along Lyman-Kupiansk front — Ukraine’s Rubizh Brigade
Dmytro Kozhubenko, Ukrainian National Guard Major, officer with the planning section of the Rubizh Brigade, says that Russia is concentrating significant forces to break through the Ukrainian defense
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
"The Rubizh Brigade is not changing its location. We continue to hold the defense in the Lyman direction. Accordingly, you can imagine the pressure our guys are feeling now, because the Lyman-Kupiansk direction is one of the hottest. Unfortunately, according to the General Staff reports, Russia has made some advances in this area," Kozhubenko noted.
According to the Ukrainian major, in the area of defense of the Rubizh Brigade, Russian forces have not achieved success, as Ukrainian defenders are standing bravely. However, the situation remains difficult, since the Russian army is throwing significant forces to break through Ukraine's defense.
"Weather conditions also have an impact; the enemy is increasing its offensive capabilities. The ground is no longer muddy, and armored vehicles can move freely. Leaves are appearing on the trees, which provides additional camouflage for the enemy," Kozhubenko explained.
The officer added that reconnaissance drone operators are detecting concentrations of enemy personnel, after which artillery and FPV drone operators strike these concentrations.
"We strike both large and small targets, it makes no difference. Because any target is a threat to the lives of our servicemen," Kozhubenko emphasized.
- Over the past day on the front, the Russian army lost 1,110 soldiers, as well as hundreds of pieces of equipment and weaponry.
