Russia pushes ahead with strategic expansion in Kharkiv region — Ukrainian military
Lieutenant Colonel Vitalii Milovidov says that the invading Russian army continues to put pressure on Ukrainian Armed Forces positions in the Kharkiv region in an effort to expand the battlefield foothold
He stated this in an interview with Espreso TV.
"The situation remains stable in the area of responsibility of the 15th Brigade. Our units are carrying out tasks in the Kupyansk region. Russia has not abandoned its strategic goal of expanding the bridgehead not only along the Dvorichna and Oskil rivers but also of capturing as much of the Kharkiv region as possible. They constantly emphasize that Kharkiv is a critically important territory for them, which is why they continue pressuring our positions," Milovidov said.
He reported that Russian troops are applying even pressure across Ukrainian positions, aiming to wear down Ukrainian forces and reserves.
"Their goal is simple — seize as much territory as possible and dictate the terms of war from a position of strength and constant advancement. They are trying to exert pressure evenly along the entire front. This way, they are exhausting our forces and stretching our reserves," he added.
- On March 26, the Ukrainian General Staff reported 207 combat clashes along the Russian-Ukrainian front on March 25. The Russian forces continue their most aggressive attacks in the Pokrovsk direction.
