Russian army may sharply intensify on two fronts in coming days - military expert Sniehyriov
Military expert, co-chairman of the Right Cause NGO, Dmytro Sniehyriov, believes Russia is employing a "thousand cuts" tactic, striking simultaneously in several directions to divert attention from their main offensive in the Donetsk region
He shared his opinions with Espreso TV.
"The enemy is trying to use the 'thousand cuts' tactic, i.e. simultaneously strike in several directions to divert attention from the main direction of the Russian offensive - Donetsk region, Pokrovske, Kurakhove and Kramatorsk directions. Therefore, I do not rule out that in the coming days there will be a sharp intensification of the enemy's activity on the Kharkiv and Sumy directions," Sniehyriov suggested.
According to the military expert, the contingent of Russian troops concentrated in the Sumy region is not enough to conduct large-scale operations.
"We can say that the events that took place in the Sumy region the day before were reconnaissance by combat. Kadyrov's claims of establishing control over Ryzhivka has been denied by the Russian side itself. These are so-called raids by reconnaissance and sabotage groups. this is a typical tactic for the Russian occupiers," Sniehyriov said.
- The Russian forces did not capture the village of Ivanivske near Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region. It remains under the control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
- Since the beginning of the day on June 11, 51 combat clashes have taken place at the front. Russian troops are most active in the Pokrovsk and Lyman directions.
