Russia loses 900 soldiers, 34 artillery systems, and 24 armored vehicles in one day – General Staff

During the past day, 76 combat clashes took place at the front. In the direction of Bakhmut, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 36 attacks

This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Russia's total combat losses from 02.24.22 to 04.14.24 approximately amounted to:

  • artillery systems - 11,552 (+34)

Attacks on Ukraine

In the past day, there were 76 combat clashes.

Overall, Russia launched 1 missile and 109 airstrikes and conducted 115 MLRS attacks on Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas.

Airstrikes hit 25 settlements across Ukraine.

Artillery fire targeted over 110 settlements in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions.

Frontline situation

The operational situation along the northern Ukrainian border remains unchanged.

In the northeastern border area, the Russian army maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts subversive activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border.

In the Kupyansk and Lyman directions, the Russian troops did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions.

In the Bakhmut direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 36 attacks near Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region and 9 more settlements in the Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka direction, Ukraine repelled 9 attacks in the areas of 6 settlements in the Donetsk region.

In the Novopavlivka direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding back Russian forces in the area of 3 populated areas in the Donetsk region, where the Russian troops tried to break through the Ukrainian defense 22 times.

In the Orikhiv direction, Russian forces attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders 6 times near Staromayorske in the Donetsk region and Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia region.

In the Kherson direction, Russia does not abandon its intention to drive Ukrainian troops from their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Over the past day, the Russian army made 3 unsuccessful attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops.

Ukrainian Defense Forces' attacks on Russian positions 

Ukrainian soldiers are actively causing casualties and damage to the occupying forces.

In the last 24 hours, the Ukrainian Air Force targeted 11 Russian personnel, weapons, and military equipment concentrations, as well as 1 control point, 2 ground control stations for UAVs, and 1 anti-aircraft missile complex.

Ukrainian missile units also successfully struck 2 Russian personnel concentrations and 2 air defense assets.

  • On April 13th, there were 60 combat clashes on the frontlines. Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully repelled 28 attacks in the Bakhmut direction.
