Ukrainian forces repel 55 Russian attacks, most of them in the Bakhmut and Novopavlivka directions

The operational situation in the northern Ukrainian border remains without significant changes.

In the northeastern border area, the Russian army maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts subversive activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border.

In the Kupyansk direction, the Russian forces did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions over the past day.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 7 attacks near Terny, Donetsk region, where the Russian units tried to break through the Ukrainian defense.

In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian troops repulsed more than 14 attacks near 7 settlements in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions.

In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders rebuffed 5 attacks near 3 settlements in the Donetsk region, where the Russian army tried to drive Ukraine's units out of their positions.

In the Novopavlivka sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continued to hold back Russian forces in the areas of Novomykhailivka and Heorhiivka in the Donetsk region, where Russia's troops, supported by air, tried to break through the Ukrainian defense 21 times.

In the Orikhiv direction, the Russian army made 2 unsuccessful attempts to attack the positions of Ukrainian troops near Staromaiorske, Donetsk region, and Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region, over the past day.

In the Kherson direction, Russia does not abandon its intention to drive Ukrainian troops from their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Over the past day, they made 6 unsuccessful attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops.

Russia attacks Ukraine with drones, missiles, and aircraft; Ukrainian forces hit 16 Russian positions

Russia launched a total of 10 missile strikes and 88 air strikes, directing 71 MLRS attacks at Ukrainian troop positions and civilian areas.

During the night, Russian forces conducted another attack on Ukraine, deploying 17 Shahed UAVs. Ukrainian air defense successfully intercepted and destroyed all attack drones.

Recent airstrikes targeted 35 settlements across Ukraine.

More than 100 settlements across the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions were subjected to artillery fire.

Simultaneously, Ukrainian aviation targeted 14 personnel, weapons, and military equipment concentration areas, along with one anti-aircraft missile complex.

Ukrainian missile force units inflicted damage on two Russian weapon and military equipment concentration areas, one UAV control point, one artillery system, and one electronic warfare station.

  • On the night of April 7, Russian troops launched a drone attack on Kharkiv, resulting in one Shahed drone hitting a private house and causing a fire.
