Russia launches two Iskanders, six Kh-59/Kh-69 missiles, nine drones at Ukraine overnight
On the night of Sunday, August 25, Russian forces launched attack drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles at Ukraine
The Commander of Ukraine's Air Force, Mykola Oleshchuk, reported that Russia targeted several frontline regions, including Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Donetsk, with a variety of missiles.
According to Oleshchuk, the Russian army launched ground-based missiles from the Voronezh and Rostov regions, including an Iskander-K cruise missile, an Iskander-M ballistic missile, and six Kh-59/Kh-69 guided missiles from the Kursk and Belgorod regions. Thanks to the active countermeasures by Ukrainian Defense Forces, most of these missiles did not hit their intended targets.
Additionally, Russia deployed nine Shahed drones from Cape Chauda in Crimea.
“Eight of these Shahed drones were shot down by mobile fire groups in the Mykolaiv region,” reported the Air Force Commander.
