Kyiv and region suffer casualties
The Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported this.
A 60-year-old man in the Obukhiv district of Kyiv region sustained injuries. He suffered cuts to his arm and face. Medical assistance was provided on the spot.
The drone attack also damaged a private house and outbuildings.
Later, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko stated that two people were injured in the capital during the overnight Russian attack. One of them is hospitalized. A woman who was also hospitalized at night is now receiving outpatient treatment.
Kyiv City Military Administration head Tymur Tkachenko added that a Russian drone fell in the middle of a private residential area in the Rusanivski Sady neighborhood of the Dniprovskyi district.
"At the crash site, a crater was formed. Significant damage and casualties were miraculously avoided. In addition, the attack damaged market stalls in the Darnytskyi district," the statement said.
Debris from downed Russian drones has also been found in several other locations, including the Dniprovskyi district.
According to Tkachenko, by morning, one person was known to be injured — a young man born in 2004. He was hospitalized in serious condition at one of the capital’s hospitals.
Air defense active in Rivne region
The Rivne Regional Military Administration reported this.
Air defense forces shot down 2 Russian aerial targets over the Rivne region during the night. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties or damage to infrastructure. Defense forces and other services are working at the site.
Zaporizhzhia
According to the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, air defense was active in the city at 02:03 a.m.
At 04:20 a.m., he reported a fire at one of the industrial enterprises in Zaporizhzhia. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties.
As Ivan Fedorov reported on the morning of June 16, the Russian army’s attack around 4:00 a.m. caused significant damage to a commercial industrial enterprise specializing in fertilizer production and crop farming. Part of the fertilizer was destroyed.
"There was no military activity at this enterprise," Fedorov emphasized.
According to him, emergency services have begun clearing the site of debris to ensure access and start repair work. The Zaporizhzhia regional reserve fund has already allocated and is providing plastic sheeting, slate, and OSB panels for temporary or initial repairs of damaged structures. The priority is quick restoration, minimizing business losses, and enabling a fast return to work and recovery of production capacity.
