Russia launches attacks in 10 directions, with most intense assaults in Pokrovsk, Toretsk

Since the start of July 31, there have been 88 combat engagements along the frontline. The most intense fighting is reported in the Pokrovsk sector, with significant activity also observed in the Toretsk sector

Ukraine's General Staff reported the information as of 4:00 p.m.

Border settlements in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions are being shelled from Russian territory. Artillery and mortar fire have impacted areas such as Myropilske, Sokych, Pavlivka, and Katerynivka. Additionally, Popivka has been struck by four unguided aerial missiles.

The Kharkiv region is also experiencing continuous bombardment by Russian aircraft. Since the start of the day, Russian forces have conducted five airstrikes using seven aerial guided bombs from the Russian cities of Belgorod and Shebekino. The targeted areas include Slobozhanske, Lyptsi, Vilcha, Horiane, and Velykyi Burluk.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv sector, Russian forces have launched seven attacks near Tykhe and Vovchansk, where two firefights are currently ongoing.

In the Kupyansk sector, Russia has stormed Ukrainian positions three times in the directions of Stepova Novoselivka, Kolesnykivka, and Berestove.

In the Lyman sector, the invading army has attacked seven times near Makiivka, Novoserhiivka, and Nevske. Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled six of these attacks, with one still ongoing. Additionally, Russian forces bombarded Lyman with three aerial guided bombs and targeted Makiivka with nine unguided aerial missiles.

In the Siversk sector, Russia attacked twice near Verkhniokamianske and Ivano-Daryivka during the day, with the battle still ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russia carried out six assaults near Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, and Andriivka. Ukrainian defense forces repelled three of these attacks, while three more engagements are still ongoing.

In the Toretsk sector, the number of attacks increased to 16. The Russian army targeted areas near Zalizne, New York, Toretsk, and Pivnichne. Thirteen battles have concluded, with three still ongoing. Additionally, Russian forces launched three air strikes on Shcherbynivka and Toretsk.

In the Pokrovsk sector, the Russian army conducted assaults in Vozdvyzhenka, Zhelanne, Serhiivka, Panteleimonivka, Novooleksandrivka, Ivanivka, Lysychne, Tymofiivka, Karlivka, and Kalynove. Ukrainian defense forces are holding back the Russian troops, having repelled 19 attacks. Seventeen firefights are ongoing, and Russian losses in this area are still being assessed.

In addition, the Russian army carried out 20 air strikes on Zhelanne, Ivanivka, Mykolaivka, Hrodivka, Vozdvyzhenka, and Panteleimonivka.

In the Kurakhove sector, Russian forces launched five attacks near Krasnohorivka, Kostiantynivka, Zhelanne, and Paraskoviivka. Three battles have concluded, and two are still ongoing.

In the Vremivka sector, Russia stormed Ukrainian defenses near Velyka Novosilka but was repelled in four engagements.

Russian forces were also unsuccessful in the Prydniprovskyi sector, where they attacked Ukrainian positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River twice.

The situation in other areas of the front remains unchanged.

  • Over the past day, Ukrainian defenders destroyed 1,060 Russian servicemen, as well as a number of pieces of equipment and weapons in the forefront.
