Russia isn't going to stop at Ukraine, chronically threatens world - NATO Commander Europe Cavoli
Supreme Allied Commander Europe Christopher Cavoli believes that supporting Ukraine in the war against Russia is crucial for the world
He said this at a meeting of the US House Armed Services Committee, according to European Pravda.
"Russia does not intend to stop at Ukraine. Russia is a chronic threat... We are going through difficult times in the European theater, to put it mildly," Cavoli said.
He noted that the European Command is strengthening its deterrence forces across the continent.
Cavoli also said that the world has not seen such a scale of destruction and death that Russia has brought to Ukraine since World War II.
The commander also said he was concerned about “Russia's dependence on China, Iran and North Korea to support its military campaign in Ukraine.”
"These countries are forming interconnected strategic partnerships in an effort to challenge the current order. These are deeply hostile actions to US national interests," the general said.
- On April 11, newly appointed Finnish President Alexander Stubb called on NATO leaders to be less "bellicose" in their rhetoric against Russia. Instead, he warned them to prepare their armies for a potential conflict.
