Russia bombs civilian enterprise in Kharkiv, 8-month-old baby among the injured
On June 30, Russian forces struck a civilian enterprise in Kharkiv with a guided aerial bomb, causing a fire and injuring at least eight people
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported explosions at 4:25 p.m. By 4:43 p.m., he confirmed that the guided aerial bomb had struck a civilian enterprise in the city center.
"The guided aerial bomb hit near the city center, targeting a civilian enterprise. There is a fire at the site with injuries reported," he wrote.
Later, Oleh Syniehubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, clarified that as of 4:46 p.m., five people, including an eight-month-old baby, were injured.
Syniehubov also mentioned that seven vehicles belonging to the affected company were on fire.
"An eight-month-old baby and five adults were injured in the terrorist attack in Kharkiv. Seven vehicles belonging to the affected company are on fire. The investigation at the scene is ongoing," Terekhov added.
Syniehubov further clarified that the affected enterprise was a post office.
At 5:03 p.m., Terekhov reported one person killed in the Russian strike.
"We already have information about one dead, unfortunately. The investigation at the scene is ongoing," he said.
The number of wounded increased to 8.
