Russia has maritime drones, but used them successfully only once — Ukraine’s intelligence chief
25 March, 2024 Monday, 11:00 Russia has developed its own maritime drones, although they have been used only once; all other attempts have been unsuccessful
Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, shared the information on the United News telethon.
"Yes, they have developments (of naval drones - ed.). But they tried to use it once. We saw it actually used once. All other cases, as we know, were unsuccessful," he said.
According to the head of Ukrainian intelligence, Russia's failures to use these drones are due to technical reasons.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces hit large landing ships Yamal and Azov, a communications center, and several infrastructure facilities of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol. Russia also reports damage to transportation infrastructure.
- The next day, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine called the damage to the Russian landing ship Yamal in occupied Sevastopol critical.
