Russian army returns to using armored vehicles near Pokrovsk – Ukrainian military

"The situation near Pokrovsk remains intense, with the enemy continuing infantry assaults that have recently intensified in our sector. The enemy is gradually resuming the use of armored vehicles, which has not been seen in our area for a long time. This is facilitated by the weather conditions: freezing temperatures mean no mud that could trap the vehicles," the soldier noted.

According to him, Russian forces are increasing pressure not only on the section held by the 2nd Battalion of the 68th Separate Jaeger Brigade but also near the villages of Kotlyne and Udachne.

"The Russian army still aims to bypass Pokrovsk from the west and reach the highway leading to Pavlohrad and Dnipro directly. However, so far, they have failed, and I am confident they won’t succeed anytime soon," the aerial reconnaissance soldier emphasized.

• On February 12, DeepState co-founder and analyst Ruslan Mykula noted that in some frontline areas, including the Pokrovsk sector, the enemy is losing initiative.
• Dmytro Zhmaylo, executive director of the Ukrainian Center for Security and Cooperation, stated that Russian forces are attempting to cut the Pokrovsk-Kostiantynivka highway completely.
