Russia claims Ukrainian drones attacked Voronezh, damaging infrastructure
On the night of August 11, Russia reported a drone attack on Voronezh that it claims damaged infrastructure and left some residents without electricity
The Governor of the Voronezh region, Alexander Gusev, reported the information.
“Due to the UAV wreckage falling in Voronezh, an administrative building and a municipal facility were damaged. Preliminary reports indicate that there were no casualties,” Gusev wrote around 05:50.
The governor emphasized that the threat of UAV attacks in the region persists, and air defense systems are actively working to counter the drones.
Later, Gusev confirmed that over 15 drones were destroyed by Russian air defense forces in the region that night. According to him, several private houses, an administrative building, some infrastructure facilities, and several vehicles were damaged in Voronezh. Additionally, about 100 residents were left without electricity.
