Russia claims to have shot down Neptune missile over occupied Crimea

The Russian Ministry of Defense said that on the night of April 9, it allegedly repelled an attempt by Ukraine to attack its territory with drones and a Neptune anti-ship missile. The latter was allegedly shot down over the Black Sea

The Russian Defense Ministry made the statement in its release.

According to them, Russian air defense shot down two drones over the territories of Belgorod and Voronezh regions.

In addition, a Neptune missile was allegedly destroyed over the Black Sea off the coast of the Crimean peninsula.

Meanwhile, the so-called governor of the temporarily occupied Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhayev, wrote at night that the loud sounds heard in the city were the work of "a system for the automatic destruction of a low-flying air target over the sea area near Sevastopol."

"No infrastructure facilities in the city were damaged... It is calm in the city," he said.
